West Village Townhouse Redux

This home was already successfully renovated and widely publicized when Oliver Freundlich Design approached Robertson-Tait about relocating the kitchen from the garden level to the parlor floor. The clients had discovered, like many families, that the majority of their time together was spent in the kitchen, which offered less daylight than the parlor floor. The decision to move the kitchen up one story meant negotiating a balance between a functional kitchen layout and the formal character of the parlor.  Our collaboration with Oliver Freundlich Design was able to see this renovation through during the summer while the family was away.
